This is a myth which was used for years by idiots such as Lyssarides to naively deceive people that Cyprus could rely on the support of the so-called Non-aligned group to solve its problem,many of whom were dictatorships in Africa and other third-world countries who rely on international aid to keep their own population from starving!
Cyprus is in the E.U. now and there have been NATO bases here since 1960 so its obvious where its allegiance has to lie?Go West my friend!

Cyprus again demonstrated its support for western security efforts by recently stopping arms shipment from Iran to Hamas at U.S. urging. And last month, Cyprus signed the New York Declaration to coordinate with US, Britain, and others on piracy off the Somalia cost.

Get your facts right. When i mentioned nonaligned, i meant that Cyprus is neutral. I wasnt referring to the international organization (NAM) Non-aligned Movement. Cyprus isn't a NAM member because it is an EU member....so it already points west but it is also a bridge to the east.
