Looking for a contact...............

Postby GG » Fri Sep 25, 2009 1:01 pm

I have a hobby of buying and selling cars here in London. I just do it in my spare time and always have about 5-6 BMW's and Mercs etc.

I am constantly approached by people in Cyprus for me to export the cars there and sell them. I have done the maths and it seems like it could be very profitable.

HOWEVER, there is a problem, they buyers dont want to get involved with collecting the car from the port and getting it taxed etc.

What I need is a contact over there in Cyprus, someone who can collect the cars, do the necessary running around to get the car on Cyprus plates, get the car washed and delivered to the buyer.

I can pay this person either per car or a commission etc, its all negotiable.

An alternative would be for me to find a dealer in Cyprus that I can sell the cars to at trade price and let them deal with them.

In any case if anyone can help or hook me up somehow it'd be very appreciated, and as long as they are trustworthy and genuine I'd also give something to person that puts us in touch.

I am interested for the post you made about the cars in UK and delivery to Cyprus.

I would like to get paid by piece delivered and this depends on the price of car.

Just let me know if you will have ready for me to pay all the expenses or I have to pay myself first?

Kind Regards

Hello mate, I would be happy to help. Im cypriot from London living in Cyprus now. I've bought a couple of mercs over myself. I know quite a few dealers over here, but it's not the best way to make money, they don't pay much at all. You're best bet is to sell private and even in todays market they're still buying mercs and beemers buy the bucket load!! I know a couple of people at the ports, very 'helpful' people!!! call me or email me..

can you proove there are actual buyers in cyprus or they will just end up buying your cars?
that happened to somebody who tried to do the same. The seller in UK told him to make all the arrangements for a BMW. he said he sold the car for 11000 pounds and asked the man to pay 9000 for the car and keep the remaining 2000 pounds after the buyer pays him. He sent the 9000 to the UK dealer and out of a sudden, the buyer disappeared.

Try this Guy, his name is Andy he is English Greek and lives in Limassol. He was a mechanic but of what I remember he has been a car dealer in the UK. He has recently moved to Cyprus and still deals with the same business. If you like give him a call on 99718961.

i wouldnt go anywhere near dealers. not only you wont be selling as many because of their absurd markup, but you'll soon find yourself shipping all sorts of junk over so that they can be tampered with and presented as a top quality .

if you're already approached by people wanting cars all you need to do is find someone to do the tax/registration/delivery on your behalf.

how many cars/month are we talking about here?

the cypriot market is above and beyond saturated from cars coming from the UK... the only problem is people wanting to make a fortune off each car, so dont expect any rediculous profit because its probably a no-go

(think car lots on every corner, with the sidewalks around them filled with cars for sale by individuals)
