Thank you for your responses everyone, by golly I think I could make it.

Tim Limasol is nicer but the job and language situation is a bit of a problem. I can't speak friggin greek to save myself and am not up with all the social work lingo.

Another problem looms, because of those :):):) evil Turks and their occupation of my country, there is compulsory national service and @ 42 am not prepared to go thru that shit and I also do not believe that I need to learn to take another human life even if it's Turkish lol.

Otherwise I know a lovely spot in Larnaca where I would love to live

On a serious note and as one who has been there I would say that, if you can only afford rented accommodation at the bottom of the price range, living in London is not very pleasant.
