YES! As does every other country in the EU. Even Germany receives EU financial support from the EU in the form of subsidies for farmers and industries that merit it.
Once again, the question shows a lack of understanding of what the EU is all about. One way to understrand is to compare to the USA. Does the richest state of the Union, California, receive help from the Federal government? Yes it does in areas where it needs it. No state, no matter how rich, can do it alone in all areas.
No you do not understand the EU or the question...lets try and make it more simple for you..
Is Greece a NET receiver or donator? What ranking do they have?

There is some fiddle going on. That’s not the EU I know. If everybody is a net receiver than who is paying for it? I have not seen the latest figures but UK and Germany tend to be net contributors. The French are drunk and the Italians lazy, and the Spanish always having their siesta. If a country is a net receiver, it is because it is so poor. Poor Cyprus and Greece.
Greece tops the rankings in one of those sections..take your pick on which one...GCs see things as it suits them, they are well known for it.
Greece was a net receiver of some 6.3 Billion Euros, which isn't much considering Greece has a GDP amounting to 343 Billion Euros.
Incidentally, France was a net receiver of some 10 Billion Euros, mainly in the agriculture sector.
I still fail to see what this has to do with the countries vast wealth when compared to Turkey!
Once again VP, let's look at the figures, and hopefully this can sink into your thick head....
Cyprus GDP per capita $32,772.
Greece GDP per capita $32,005.
Turkey GDP per capita $10,472.

That's right VP, both Greece and Cyprus have a GDP per capita that is over 300% more than Turkey...
How pathetic is that?
