We GCs owe our entire existence to the Orthodox Church,

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It's not a dirty word. Cyprus is no less of a Greek island than Crete or Rhodes; both were eventually unified with the patrida, and both were rid of the non-Greek "guests" that once lived there. And so it one day will be with Cyprus when the time is right.

You mean like E-Mail? :?

No  ... The one which is an anagram of NOSEIS.

That’s 720 permutations! :(

Exactly! And we have achieved one permutation via the EU

No way you can form “FUCKED” with that anagram... :?

But given that it contains three vowels and three non, the vowels MUST occupy locations “1”, “3”, and “5”, or locations “2”, “4”, and “6”, so this narrows the permutations down to…

((5/26) x (21/26) x (5/26) x (21/26) x (5/26) x (21/26)!) OR ((21/26) x (5/26) x (21/26) x (5/26) x (21/26) x (5/26)!)

:D

It’s amazing that such an historic event took place yet nobody recorded it… :(

Get a life!

The RoC will continue and no one will undermine the state any more.

Cyprus is an EU member, and that's all that matters.

Hello James :D

I absolutely agree with you, it's not a dirty word ... but I hate it when the Turks jump in and abuse it as such. So, I thought I would preserve its "sanctity" for once

But given that James has the IQ of a reticulated Ostrich… how do you explain his “Aristotelian” shortcomings? :?

You mean like no one is interfering or undermining it right now?

Paphitis wrote:Cyprus is an EU member, and that's all that matters.

We've been over the reason why Cyprus is in the EU many times. Events since 2004 should also go a long way to helping anyone who is interested to understand exactly who is underwriting the very existence of Cyprus, and who who rather it just disappeared (hint: in the EU, the ratio is about 25-to-1). And let's not forget a few very powerful non EU actors who would also prefer to see Cyprus disappear.

What do you suppose the EU would do if our guests decided to overrun the rest of the island (except of course the UK sovereign bases)? The EU has no military, and no mandate to deploy their armed forces within the EU for any purpose. 50% of Cyprus' guarantors within the EU are 100% committed to Cyprus' destruction, just like the Brits were committed to the destruction of the Hellenic character of the "Septinsular Republic" in the 19th century, and the Italians were committed to the destruction of the Hellenic character of the Dodecanese in the 20th century.

Ok - here's a challenge for the "Cyprus is not Greek crowd". Explain to us how Cyprus was any different to the Ionian Islands in 1864, to Crete in 1913, or to Rhodes in 1947, vis a vis Enosis with Greece.
