BTW ... I wonder if we can get through this thread without once mentioning the "E" word .... ( I nearly did earlier but I bit my tongue).

What you mean like the Archbishop of the Church of Cyprus expressing his hope to the first British Governor in 1831 (ish) that Britain would allow Union with Greece (is that the E word in English)?

It's not a dirty word. Cyprus is no less of a Greek island than Crete or Rhodes; both were eventually unified with the patrida, and both were rid of the non-Greek "guests" that once lived there. And so it one day will be with Cyprus when the time is right.
