There were three major riots when I was there and the last towards the end of 2007 involved several thousand Construction workers; not a fight between a few people. The reasons were manyfold though basically the Kazakhs (who by the way are a very proud race would never refer to themselves as Kazakh Turks and if I called my wife that she would most probably divorce me) believed the Turks were coming to their country and treating them as if they were Country Bumpkins or serfs. The unrest did spread to other towns and the army was called in to calm things down.
The President of Kazakhstan is very astute; he has built a completley new capital Astana which is located in central Kazakhstan as it was felt the old capital Almaty was too close to the Chinese border and the thought of Chinese expansionism is what frightens them and that is why they will always stay aligned with Russia and Turkey won't get a look in.

Well Turks do that to TCs too they call us greeks. But we don't mind and call them Gacos. So its a bit of banter, but rioting must have other reasons. Somebody is encouraging it for what ever gain they have and using the usual tool of manipulating prejudices. What's new?

This is what illiterate Turks and illiterate TCs do, not all Turks and TCs do.

Sort of you are right but even the Literate Turks although may not be so explicit, they do look down on TCs. Two of my brothers went to Uni in Turkey and that was their experience.

U r confusing the literates with so-called literates, then re YFreddo. Even a shepherd can be more literate than a so-called literate...

Hahahaha ... Turks discussing which Turk is more literate ... hahahhaah

U liked it eh? Join us if u wish.

No Insan don't you dare, you may wish to go insane but I need my sanity. I am not giving it up.

YFreddo... bro... u have gone way too much hyperactive recently... I remember ur early days here; u were more sweet-tempered... u need a nice holiday, re YFreddo.

You are right. I shall mellow down. I am thinking of visiting Turkey for the first time in oct/nov. I'll go to Ayasofya Cami in Istanbul and light a candle for the betterment of the whole world.

Happy to hear that... don't forget to take a tour from Sultanahmet to eminönü, karaköy, taksim, maçka, nişantaşı, levent, etiler, rumelihisarı, bebek, sarıyer, üsküdar, çamlıca, bağdat caddesi, kadıköy, beşiktaş. Have a nice holiday.

I see you didn't mention Kasımpaşa.

I see you didn't mention Kasımpaşa.

I was only going to stay there for a few days to enrich my GC heritage; it seems I need to spend a month there.

No praying in Ayasofya/Ay. Sophia Sancta Sophia because it has been a museum for a very long time. Dont forget, Konstantiniyye has plenty of Greek ghosts. Beware

Have a nice time. Feed the two white cats that spend most of their time in the St.Sophia please. They are very friendly.

This proves that the poor Turkish Cypriots are receiving an inferior education by their Turkish oppressors. If you think Agia Sophia is a museum you are greatly mistaken. I wonder if the Turks know that Allah is against empires and stealing other people's property such as: Cyprus, Symrna, Constantionople and Pontia?

Reh Denizui, I can pray where ever and whenever I want. For instance I pray every night before I go to sleep that certain people fall and break their fingers so they cannot throw abuse at others on the forum. It hasn't worked yet but I am a forever an optimist. Who is going to stop me? But I guess they may stop me lighting a candle for obvious reasons.

No Dearest C. When you pray there is no race. There is only one god and is called Allah. You better repent or you will not end up in heaven.

PS: I forgot to mention, I prayed in Abostos Ayandreas (GR calm down and don't get upset about my pronunciations please) and fat load good it did for me with my land that the RoC has stolen. So I thought I’ll take to higher authority (The big boss – otherwise known in certain circles as Bruce Lee)

Did they teach you Biology at GO Church school. How does one man live 2000 years if he ever existed?
