It's the same as the so-called opinion poll that they printed in all the national tabloids stating that 8/10 people think the UK should do more to help asylum seekers. Again, propaganda! I don't know a single person, either in the UK or any ex-pats here in Cyprus who agrees with how much the asylum seekers get for free from the UK.

I think there’s more to this asylum seekers lark than meets the eye.

British economy is said to be healthier than most eu countries. A far cry from five or ten years ago. Britain just lost her last car manufacturer Rover. Visible exports I dare say are in deficit. Britain makes nothing (cept jet engines and wheapons) anymore, yet has a healthy expanding economy. How?

In London The only thing I see expanding is the immigrant population, and something is telling me that somehow the govt might just be making a nifty few bob by allowing immigrants into Britain.

Any confirmations or denials anyone.

Sorry, but the British taxpayer is paying heavily for the upkeep of asylum seekers and that is a disgrace!

I'm not 100% against asylum seekers throughout the world, but there is a sensible way to allow them into a country - take Cyprus for example - they don't get endless freebies over here! Tony Blair should hang his head in shame for what he has allowed to happen to the UK! The country now takes better care of asylum seekers than it does it's own people! Charity begins at home, that's all I'm saying!
