me thinks I better look out for you two

Well as the song starts let’s start at the very beginning a very good place to start
The first sign of man appears in the Neolithic age on the north and south coast
Then came the Chalcolithic age from the Stone Age to the start of the Bronze Age
At this time copper is being found
Bronze age if you like dates 2500-1050 BC trade with Egypt Aegean are doing well
Until the mycenaeans come from Greece, in the 11 and 12 centuries the Greeks take over the island
Geometric period Cyprus is now a Greek island with 10 Kingdoms
From now on Cyprus is a rich country and ever body wants a part of Cyprus
Egypt Persias King Evagoras of Salamis comes along and said ok boy’s lets all kiss and make up this island will make good holiday destaion
Then Alexander the Great the Richard Branson of his age said I like that island so he sent over a general who made them an offer they could not refuse, so Cyprus became part of Macedonia Ltd but the company had a split and became a Hellenistic state of the Ptolemies of Egypt it was decided to give the island a make over out with the old and in with the new Pafos the new place to stay The Romans liked it and decided to stay but the build was done on the cheap by costalot builders to the Med
All went well then the double act came along -Paul & Barnabas.
Paul is invited to see the Proconsul Sergius Paulus he said to Paul so what’s this god thing then well said Paul and started to tell Sergius about being a Christian so at the end he said ok if I give you a whipping you will forgive me yep said Paul with the shout guards give this man a whipping, the Proconsul Sergius Paulus converted to Christianity.
Markus and spenceus the slavers started in retail in Briton
Then they found out how good the builders were when an earthquake hit the island
So they moved up to Constantinople and then the Byzantine Period started
Followed by Lion heart Templars Lusignan Period Venetians Ottomans and the British then we went home and now its book an air ticket and get out.
