Not being funnny but anyone can stop off at a village for some grub and several tours do this.

What about offering tours for tourists who are staying in the villages???

The tour companies have already identified the villages that can accomodate tourists. Those that do genrally have to give 30% of their takings to the tour guides.

I can't recall that much choice in Pissouri though Purdey so maybe that could be an option for Mike.

Maybe Mike could sell his tours through the outlets you are thinking of....

Here's a freebie contact for you Mike. A small winery in Doros, lovely old village (Kouris Valley).
They make a decent red/white wine and zivania. Speak to Lenya she will help you out.
Regards

Couple of things/questions:

Where are you going to source your clients from. Hotels already have tours arranged with various tour operators.
How are you going to transport them around, you will need a bus/coach
Are you familiar with the Island and the sites, need to know what you are talking about.

My advice get a jod with one of the tour operators, learn the business and then do your own thing.

I saw a leaflet in the Cyprus tourist office offering an Art & Wine Safari .
visiting local art studios and local winery's, i imagine that would be a nice day out.
good luck anyway.
