Hangover Bafidi?

Good try.

GREEK LYRICS

Segnoriso apo tin Kopsi tou spathiou tin tromeri;
Segnoriso apo tin opsi pou me via metra tin yi.
Ap ta Kokkala vyalmeni ton ellinon ta iera
Ke san prot' anthriomeni haire o hair'eleftheria.
Ke san prot' anthriomeni haire o hair'eleftheria,
Ke san prot' anthriomeni haire o hair'eleftheria.

GREEK LYRICS (Greek script)

---

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

I shall always recognise you
By the dreadful sword you hold,
As the earth, with searching vision,
You survey, with spirit bold.
'Twas the Greeks of old whose dying
Brought to birth our spirit free.
Now, with ancient valour rising,
Let us hail you, oh Liberty!

Is it the above you refer to Bafidis?

Dont you think we need a more neutral anthem encompassing ALL.?

Greeks are exactly what 80% of cypriots are.

Greek Cypriots = Ellinon!

If you are a Cypriot, then the current anthem would encompass you no doubt.

I may be Cypriot, but hell no, I am not 'ellinon'.

You wont even get Kiks agreeing to that.

No you are a Turk ... but CYPRUS is the home of Greeks. So that Anthem is true and if you want to live in Cyprus, you had better accept the fact you are not here to Turkify the island but accept it for its historically and majestically Greek identity.

There is NO going back Oracle. I am missing a bit, or had you not realised.

You realise the connotations of asking Oracle whether she realised TC realities regarding circumcision. She now will have to bring her steamy 80's years out to prove one way or another (in a Blondie) style.

The Greek anthem was NEVER part of the RoC constitution! It was just another stupid Greek nationalistic mistake made on or after 63!

Dipstick I told you before Dionysios Solomos had Cypriot roots on his mothers side (Podokataros family). It is the anthem of all Hellens now get lost.

Why should our anthem be changed? When the heroes went to their deaths for our freedom of British rule what song did they sing? Oh Hail to the Turkish invader?

Let the turks keep their anthem, we do not want any part of it as we are not only happy about our own anthem but proud of it.

Cyprus is a Greek island. Turks cannot change this fact. If they don't like this fact they can always go back to their homeland: Turkmenistan
