Honky is something blacks are allowed to say to white people, but if we call them niggers (as they do amongst themselves), we would get arrested!

Terrible thing racism .... Its like these people who make derogatory remarks about an entire nation without pausing to think what they are saying, and not caring who they hurt with their remarks :roll:

'Ethnic' adjectives change over the years; terms which were at one time were unacceptable are now not considered so offensive, in other cases the opposite is true.

Black people have in the past, mainly in the US, been described at Uncle Tom (a kindly reference, unless from another Black person), Jo Crow, nigger etc.
In Black communities it was common practice to describe White people as: Spooks, Ghost, Honkey and now 'Cracker'!!
The term 'White Trash; is used by both Black and White people.

Personally, I think the term 'African American' is stupid; if I were to describe my ethnicity by all the continents of my forebears it would possibly take half a page.

Interestingly, my Asian (brown) friends, think of themselves as Black.

I dont see alot of people being racist and name calling on the forum to be fair.
I did however see in purdy's post that he was classing the white man as being a "honky" and took a disliking to it.
i am entitled to dislike this and you or anyone else has the right to say if feeling its wrong is right or wrong to have those feelings of being offended.
I would also feel the same if lets say there was an african person using the forum and someone said N****r. I would stand up for them also.
