Workplace sexual harassment rampant in Cyprus

SIX PER CENT of employees in Cyprus have experienced sexual harassment in their workplace while one in two believe when it does happen, some of the victims deserve it, according to research published yesterday.


Research findings indicate that at least half of Cypriots still have anachronistic and sexist views on the causes of sexual harassment. “At least one in two respondents considers that some staff members attract sexual harassment on account of their appearance and/or behaviour and that women use their sexuality to advance their careers,” the research findings report read.

Anyway, 6% is pretty low by some European standards, considering there is such a wide-spectrum for this human activity ....

I've noticed that it does not mention that females were harrassed sexually but when u read the whole article, u will come to a conclusion that they were females that harrased sexually.

I personally have never sexually harassed females in my workplaces but I admit some sexual wishes went in my mind. This is inevitable for a sexually healthy man or males over 13.

I've never attempted to sexually harass those attractive, sexy females not because I couldn't dare but because of my personality.

I've never thought that I have a right to sexually harass every female who have sexual attraction.
