You’d better pack a lot of sandwiches… :?

You make very silly presumptions.

Inter galactic space travel and even colonization is not at all far fetched.

NASA is already preoccupied with finding planetary systems capable of sustaining life.

Basically, what you see in Star Trek may very well become a reality within the next millennium....so there is plenty of time before our Sun turns into a Supernova....

I’d suggest you watch fewer movies but what the hell… you’ve got the IQ of an amoeba anyway!

Working in the Defence and Aeronautical Aerospace Industry, I only know too well what is in stall for us in the very near future.

Only 50 years ago, there were people like yourself that said, "man will never set foot on the moon".

Hold on tight GR!, because your grandchildren will be in for one hell of a ride....

I believe it is more likely that the Aussies are going to be at the forefront of this as well....The last people on earth that have no self imposed restrictions and are always ready to ask " I wonder what will happen if I press that button"!

The Aussies are at the forefront...heard of Pine Gap and Woomera?

And yes, a lot of the shit you saw during the Iraq War on CNN is Australian technology.

Australian defence industry is cutting edge...

We can talk all about it in another thread if you like.

What are you on about? Thales, ASC, and Raytheon are Australian companies.

Cobham is a British company that has interests in another Australian company called Surveillance Australia Pty Ltd.

http://www.surveillanceaustralia.com.au/default2.asp

Ausaero is an Australian company developing the Tiger attack helicopter in partnership with Eurocopter.

There are many more....

Then there is GEC, Marconi and many other small companies specializing from anything from night vision, radar technology, and communications.
