In that case it's the fault of the state for failing to correctly identify that the guy was suffering from a mental disorder.

Still could be worse .... could have been in this guy's position where he was trying to help his executioners find a suitable vein to administer a lethal injection.

Personally i think pheodofiles should face the death sentence and Terrorists should too.
I think also pheodofiles who commit a crime should be named and shamed, and should be made to wear a "T" shirt with the print "I am a pheodofile"

see my point of view is.. lets say some one killed some one! thats an animal act and its against the law but when some one get a death sentence its not an animal act and its legal!! so putting name to it we exchange killing with killing one legal and illegal!! if you killed someone he wont have time to regret what he did if you let him live in jail or what ever for the rest of his life he will be suffering every min ! he would wished he would die!! raping, molesting kids and other real bad stuff like that should have a fair judgment like life sentence.. even terrorists are still human being and the human rights apply to them!! we are no gods to take lives.. no government, no law no one can or should decide to take someone life but when a crimenal minded person do something like that we wont throw our humanity from the window and do what he did and kill him we`re not suppose to be animals.. we are human we should be better.. but as we all need laws the laws should be very harsh on such crimenals but killing them makes no different between creminals and us to accept the death sentence for them, we accept to be leaded and controled by animal laws

Tend to agree - but maybe branding it on their foreheads would be more cost effective than supplying t shirts.

Personally I prefer mandatory chemical castration (after offering the perpetrator) the opportunity to store a sample or two for future use (or if the judicial system has messed it up).

Forensics has come a long way in the last 10-15 years, so the chances of a innocent man getting convicted is very slim these days.

I could be guilty of over generalisation but aren't the prisons full to overflowing with innocent people? At least as far as the prisoners are concerned.

No system is perfect but then there's no smoke without fire.

So what happened to you?
