There you go Cypriot...

Halil has been kind enough to invite you for drinks at Buyukhan, which is probably some poor sods stolen property...Bottoms up!

You see, you've got your answer Reh Ausipushdui. It was built by Muzafer Pasha in 1570.
Enjoy it boys. I wish I could be there with you in person but as I can't I'll have to be there in spirit (with a bottle in each hand).

BTW Cypriot...

Have a nice trip to Cyprus. The Aussie Cypriot you may meet in Cyprus is a bit soft and couldn't handle it in Australia, so there is little chance he ould be able to drink you under the table...

Got a question for you.

Are you the author of the book "The Cypriot" written by an Andreas Koumi?

It sounds like a very interesting book and I want to get a copy... :)

If I order a copy of your book, could you autograph it for me? :D

It would be good to hook up over a medrio if anyone's over and free. I'll be in Protaras for week 1 and Limassol for week 2.

PM me and let me know...

Holding 'Court' I see.

Seriously Paphitis, everyone should read it. I couldn't put it down. There's a lot of warmth coming out of the story and the descriptions of North London life in the 70's is spot on!

I did literally laugh out loud at several sections because, as you know, The Cypriot has a wicked sense of humour and he generated some wonderful humorous scenarios.

The only unrealistic aspect was, I am afraid, what he chose to make pivotal to the story, which was the romance. Such a rare event is hard to sell as a possibility for basing future peace upon ... unfortunately.

BTW ... my copy, symbolically, sits next to "Zorba The Greek" by Nikos Kazantsakis (my novels are alphabetized).

Already ordered the book.

I'm sure the book has some interesting aspects so I do intend reading it.

Yeh! It is a little far fetched.

But I am eager to learn about North London in the 70s and how GCs and TCs related to each other!
