One of the cores of the problem is our leaders who have been preaching their agenda to us for 30 years now and we the faithful have listened and taken it on board about the monsters that live on the otherside, but then when the restrictions were lifted we found that the other side were just plain old human beings like ourselves only interested in peace.

I don't know what you people were taught and where, but in my case it is the opposite. What I knew from school, family etc, is that Turkish Cypriots are simply just victims like us. That they suffered during the 60's and that Turkey used this in order to achieve its own interests because Cyprus is very strategic for her. That they want to be united with us, but Turkey doesn't let them and they are afraid to say anything bad about Turkey. Never I heard bad words for TCs in school or from family. Actually my mother even said that when she heard that the Turks were invading she felt that this is what suited the ones that made the coup (of course she didn't know about the criminal actions of the Turkish army and that they would occupy part of Cyprus).

So up until recently I had absolutely nothing against TCs. However now I know more. Now I know that the TCs want to use the military power of Turkey to gain on our loss. I know that they don't want unification, but partition (a disguised one suits most of them better), and that they don't give a fuck about our human rights. Now I know that TCs want way more power than what deserves to them and they are more than willing to use the weapons of Turkey to get this power.

So no, TCs are not monsters, but apparently they don't consider us as compatriots and they want a part of our country just for themselves, even if they have to use military power and ethnic cleansing to achieve this. Personally I find nothing to like in the way the TCs treat us today, and I believe GCs are 100% justified to be angry with TCs.

I hope that TCs will stop the violations and the illegalities, that all these will become past, and that we will be able to live in a united free democratic country. Until then, sorry, but allow me not to like the ones who choose to violate my rights and try to gain on my loss.

Piratis, you seem to dislike TC's for wanting security and guarantees of equality. Can you blame them after what GC's did to them 63-74?

So now we have a dilema where we have 30 years of brainwashing and all the new info that contradicts our teachings, we try to stay loyal to our teachings but also try to absorb the new truths that systematically keep popping up, that in turn is leaving us confused in what to believe and who to follow.

Well some are just choosing to follow the old teachings, those we will call the nationalists, then there is those who are choosing to accept new ideas, those we will call the undecided and then we have those that accept that both sides have been brainwashing and now only accept evidence and truth, these we will call the cypriots who are not biased to one sides teachings, so i ask who are you, and this goes out to all forum members pick who you are then stand by your line i am the third type for anyone interested.

Can I be the third type if I'm not a Cypriot?

Piratis you are entitled to your opinion and of course i respect your views but it saddens me that you tar all tc with the same brush, the majority of tc marched in protest against denktas and his regime for their ideas of partition and demanded peace, the majority of tc are not people that want something that is not their's, the majority of tc are victims of circumstance of the current situation and everytime they vote for people to represent them they are let down like the gc are.

Majority of tc i believe want the same things as gc, to live in a democratic country under full human rights etc. but its the politicians from both sides who will not let it happen, this is something you have not come to terms with yet and i hope you will oneday.

My final thought is stop beleiving the devil's that call themselves leaders on both sides and start to look at what the people want and you will see the same desire all around cyprus....PEACE is everyones desire.

That will eventually change as long as we stick togethar and put accross the truth, eventually the hardliners 'traitor' theory will fall on deaf ears.

i dont care what people think... i know that im supported by many in here.

So up until recently I had absolutely nothing against TCs. However now I know more. Now I know that the TCs want to use the military power of Turkey to gain on our loss. also... piratis, please, just because you have found some TCs who want some kind of partition, do not get angry and hurl abuse at people. To make a change, persuade them with rational thought, then everyone will understand that they are in the wrong. Abuse will get no-one nowhere.

you seem to dislike TC's for wanting security and guarantees of equality. Can you blame them after what GC's did to them 63-74?

Khan....we've moved on since then (i hope)

Only common GC behaviour, nothing new....

:bawling: :argue: :bawling:

Gladius, that is very offensive. :x

I know some GCs are not nice either, but rise above it.

Refrian yourself from sweeping statements 'cos i dont like you saying indirectly that im like others here, even if you dont mean it.

Watch what you say
