Precisely Mr Vick, which is why we want a solution concordant with EU principles and rules but the TC side wants a derogation, wanting to go back to the 19th century when your status (serf, peasant, etc) determined your "rights".

And if the TCs do not want to offend the GCs how do you explain those huge flags, statues of Attaturk and the change of names of every single town and village? Are these the kind of friendly gestures you expect from Europe in 2009?

I suppose it really is more offensive than taking away my constitutional rights, murdering my people and then allowing lies all over the world about what really happened.... I agree with you Kentish. I have been visiting Cyprus for many years and it disgusts me to see how low some people are. I think this post should be deleted. I have many Turkish friends and many people will agree with me that they are one of the nicest people and should not be disrespected like this. What a shame.

They have developed a selective hearing problem. We thank god that its only the minority that is like that (over represented in this forum) and the majority of GCs are decent people.

Who told you that we wanted to tango with Turks? It is them who keep invading our island and keep bringing their troops and their settlers here because they want to expand against us. How do you think the Turkish "Cypriots" were created on our island? We didn't want to "tango" with them. We didn't even want to know about them! But they didn't give us any choice! Now they occupy half of our country and we are supposed to love them?
