potential powder keg.....If it were TCs

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Sotos wrote:If the Turks had not invaded our island and had not brought their Settlers here then Cyprus would have no problems. The Cyprus problem is the Turkish expansionism against our island. They invade us, kill 1000s of native Cypriots, then bring their Settlers and give to them what they steal from us and then they call their settlers "Cypriots"

Sotos, you are the kind of person who will always have a problem. If there was no prob, you would invent one.

Reading the second part of your post gives me the impression you were happy with the invasion of 1571, but not 1974?

In the title...DUH!!!!!

'IF'???????? and IF my grandmother had balls..................

She would have strangled you at birth

IF you don't ask the IFs then you get burned more than once......I was burned last time...IF I stick my hand into the flame will I get burned again....IT is part of evolution and human nature demands it.....What you are interested in is us not asking and letting you walk off with our sweets.....We are not little children for you to steal from mate...

Don't lower yourself so much Zan. I hate it when people instead of trying to prove how good they are, they waste their time tying to prove how bad others are to make themselves look good.

And what was your intension when you asked the first question Kafenes....Maybe if no malice was intended then a better way of asking maybe? And again in this post.......Not that I mind. It is the way of the Forum.

My intention was pure curiosity of your post as you come across to be one that doesn't have or believe to have any intentions of future dealings with the ROC. And now you show interest in our internal affairs. Since you don't believe in possible future unity then I can't see how this subject interests you. Look in your back yard Zan.

What I have never done is buried my head in the sand Kafenes....What I have said in the past, and you have been there to witness, ( but I will give your memory the benefit of the doubt) is that I would like to see unity but think it will never happen. If it does then I want to be ready and give the Cyprus people a fighting chance. The fact is that the EU believe you represent us so I have every right to be concerned about corruption in the "RoC". I don't want the EU to turn a blind eye to it and put us in danger. Perhaps they can send in a special task force to sort you guys out and clear the way for unification.

Pull the other one Zan. I didn't come down in the last showers you know.

No problems Kafenes......I promised myself that I would not let people like you wind me up from now on....If you want I can carry on taking the piss until you give your lot that post on this Forum the same advise about "looking in their own back yards" and leaving Turkey and the TCs alone then I consider you a hypocrite.

Exactly 'taking the piss' I agree with. For the TCs, I care a lot. As for the Turks, I don't give a damn. I believe I am the biggest partitionist of this forum and I admit it. I used to believe I wanted unity but not anymore.

You cant tell me you hate part of me and expect me not to react :? How bout if I said I love you as a GC but hate you as an Armenian....An insult to your family or what???

I know you don't want to hear it but not all of this is Turkeys fault.

Sorry Zan, I don't care what you believe but to me a Turk and a Turkish Cypriot are 2 different people same as a Greek and a Greek Cypriot or an Armenian and an Armenian Cypriot. I personally class myself as a Cypriot rather then an Armenian Cypriot.

Well I'm not that bitter yet Kafenes and I hope not to be...Perhaps you should stay away from this Forum and get on with your life because you sound tortured. Ignorance is bliss, as they say. Advise not an insult.

Wrong again. I am here to defend my country, the ROC, from venomous attacks of jealous individuals.

If the jealous thing is aimed at me then you have no idea what you are talking about......My country needs defending too.

Tim Drayton wrote:"According to the lawyer hired by the Legal Service to take on the appeal, Loucis Loucaides, the acquitted officer is seeking a suspension of the appeal pending an apology, which the officer’s lawyer argues is necessary to restore the prestige of the court."

All I can see here is the judicial process taking course. It is the defence lawyer's job to put up the best possible defence and if this involves putting a spoke in the wheels with this kind of objection then so be it. What is the point here?

Look at the title. Zan is telling us that if it were TCs, we would of had riots.

That's fine, you defend yours and I'll defend mine. But stop trying to make yours look better by running mine down.

Thats what it takes to show you why you hate Turks so much Kafenes....You keep seeing people post bad things about us and you don't see what is going on on your own doorstep that stops us in our tracks to rethink our relationship...I am not going to go around shouting at my troops whilst you send bombs over every second.
