Tipping in Cyprus???

Do you tip here? You know like at restaurant or taxi-cab?
If you do what is a good amount is it 10 to 20% like back in the states?
If you dont...pssss lucky bastards I been tipping for two weeks....

He's American, Simon. He has been in Cyprus for two weeks. He has been tipping between 10-20 % for services rendered. He is asking has he done the right thing.
I think that may help Simon a little more JB, you must forgive him, he hails from the Midlands.

NOOO dont tip anyone, you may not realise it but your are for sure paying tourist rates, so include that as a tip.
If you were to tip, you would prob get called a malacka when your back is turned as they know they over charge!

yeah we been tipping...but no more haha...

Someone did say something when we were walking out of this restaurant at Governor Beach but when I turned around and ask him to repeat it in english he just walked away....i just wanted to know what he said...

I always tip at restaurants and cafes. If I'm happy with the service around 10% if not around 5%. I also always tip at the gas station and the car wash (usually 1 euro).

Don't listen to them ... one is a Jew and the other a skinflint self-obsessed Brit who is here to rip off Cypriots ....

I haven't meet not one non aggressive Cypriot female yet...that's not a bad thing though

tipping not expected but we usually round the bill up to the nearest round figure e.g 17.50 euros we leave 20.10 to 20% far too much as you will be paying more than the locals for your meal/drink/taxi etc.
