The true is always hard. But hiding things is not the way out.Think at least your childs-if you have-. they must have a language they must have a culture they must have many things which we have lost in our way.
They can not be , like us, nobody and copy of others!!!

At the moment they are the enemy occupants and so should not be given citizenship/Cypriot Nationality, even if applying in some legitimate capacity (standard practice during war, I think).

The "Muslim" bit was superfluous as Cypriot citizens are not defined by their religion.

So where does that leave my friend Kikapu? He is Cypriot of Turkish origin, but his allegiance is towards justice, and hence with the RoC and against Turkey.

A Cypriot can be Greek, Turkish, British or whatever else as long as their true allegiance lies with the RoC.

Being a Cypriot national, with unwavering allegiance to the RoC has absolutely no bearing on one's ethnicity, be it Greek, Turkish or English...all this nonsense to the contrary is just absurd.

The results of this poll suggest otherwise and are proving incredibly illuminating...

The results of this poll suggest absolutely bugger all.

This forum is not a true representation of the Cypriot masses, and some of the ideals held by some members here are quite weird to say the least....they are views that can not possibly be held by anyone sane.

Absolutely rubbish!

The majority of Cypriots know exactly who they are and what they want.

If you could understand the problem on expression and way of thinking just because of the language childs in Cyprus have you could realise the huge problem i am speaking about. Of course, if you see the things only in the Cyprus microwarld, you can not realise such thinks.

We are just destroying ourselves without any help from abroad-In such cases we are capable to destroy ourselves alone!!

I have 2 kids in school right now in Cyprus, spent 7 years in secondary school in Cyprus, did 26 months in the army in Cyprus and all these have been done by reading and writing in Greek and speaking in the Greek Cypriot dialect. Where exactly do your "decades" of living in Cyprus afford you the right to speak on our behalf and what our culture and language on this island is.

The Cypriot microworld is problematic not because it does not allow those inside to know what goes on the outside but those outside to not know whats on the inside.

Just like our accent, we can understand everything but no one can understand us.

FFS DT... :?

Sorry that we outsiders don't understand what is going on!

Typical us and them (outsiders) mentality.

DT, there is one thing you need to know. That some outsiders have also done just as much as you, lost just as much as you, spat more blood than you, and genuinely feel more proud to be Cypriot than most of you. As for the second and third generations, well most of them are not even Cypriot, know absolutely nothing about Cyprus, and don't even want to know. Now that is pretty sad, but just be very careful when talking about us "outsiders" because we are not all the same...
