Conspiracy.................

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Tue Jul 05, 2005 1:13 am

the reason for the invasion was to prevent total greek rule of cyprus, and to prevent what could and probably would have been a tc bloodbath. As a conseqence Turkey strengthened her southern coast-line.

You got it mixed up. Turkey invaded Cyprus as part of its expansionist policies, and for strategic purposes. There was no bloodbath of TCs in 74 until Turkey invaded. TCs were just the excuse.

If they took twenty per cent we’d be negociating at 12% wouldn’t we?

I do not think negotiations have gone anywhere in 31 years, long before most of us were even born.Barganining and Negotiations do not look like they are going anywhere either. Horse trading human rights like ethnic cleansing is not the way things are done in Europe.

The net result is that Turkey was taken to court for continuing violations,Turkey's entry into the EU will take 50 years and you live in a Pariah state.clap clap clap.

And where is it going? to pay french farmers that's where..........anyway enjoy the ride..........bravo

Piratis

thanks for the input and clearing that up for me, and there's me thinking it had something to do with the luvely tc friendly Makarios regime.

I think it's an easy life for you not taking the truth very serious? Is'nt it? Maybe as a proof for your stories we shall believe that the earth is a plate and the sun is circling it!

wow how impressed we are not.

I didn’t see you getting equally sensitive to the first insult with big bold letters though. Or that was nothing in your opinion?

If you don't beleive us then beleive what Denktash said. He said this:Cyprus is too important for Turkey.Even if there were no TCs in Cyprus still Turkey would be here.

Turkey was always looking to take part of Cyprus.he was desparate from her surrounding by Greece in the Aegean. The TCs were just used for that scope.

Whatever! Have you not seen the pictures from Evros (borders of Greece/Turkey)? The two countries are opening a new chapter in their history, one of peace and friendship, understaning and cooperation. The fanatics in the GC community are now crying "treason" at the top of their voice. Too bad nobody is listening bar the grey wolves who curiously enough also think that Turkey has betrayed them.

How convenient to use Denktash to prove a point! I have tried this prescription myself but the wise guys told me that it was Denktash's way of fooling the GC's to vote "yes" in the referendum!

Arguing that Turkey does not really care about the TC's is like arguing that the Greek army did not really invade Asia Minor in 1919 to protect the Greek minority there but to create a Greece of four seas (or was it five?) and two continents. Of course that would be a turkish argument and thus we can ignore it. In the meantime, the mother countries are striving forward while we sink deeper and deeper into a spiral that leads straight to partition.

Yeah I remember this. For some, Cyprus problem is a whole big conspiracy theory...I guess some people will always prefer fantasy to realty.

We always refer the Denktashes to Denktashes.

Here is a man who declares that he only reads "Politis" newspaper and flatly denies to listen to fanatics like Lazaros Mavros (despite being his political identical twin) who thinks that I hear voices in the night. Your ignorance is not an excuse.
