U cant charge 3 Eur for a Cyprus coffee gamoto... its a ripoff, especially in disgusting Zakaki... this is not Monaco.
Double espresso cannot be charged 2XSolo, usually is half price up... and if thats the case it should cost 4.50 since waiter doesn't serve twice innit?

Complain to CTO and Consumer Protection... make sure u kept your receipt. Of their menu is not stamped by CTO they are screwed... and honestly they wouldn't accept that pricing anyway since Espresso costs less in 4 Seasons...

maybe they are hoping on those lonely tourists unboarding from a cruise liners for a few hours to have a taste of Cyprus? :D Jeez, this is soo upsetting... whats the place name?

There is a newly opened cafeteria in the old port area where i asked a double Greek coffee and a botle of water. I had been asked to pay Euro 7.5!!
High deperuture/huminity/not tourist area and Euro 7.5 for a coffee!!!

Same in Athens is costing between Euro 2.5-Euro 4.00 MAXIMUM.-depending on the place you are.

Someone must explain to the people there that, by employing Philippinos/Chinesse and other cheap waiters who are not speaking even the language of the country where they serve, should mean cheaper prices for clients.

Maybe double Greek coffee is double priced?

Well, now i remember that the first day i went to this place -the name is SENTO MOMENTO- i was with a friend who paid the bill.
I have just now called him and he told me that he paid EURO 15.00!!!

We had a double Greek coffee, a frape and a bottle of water.!!!

Average cost of above in Athens is about EURO 7-8

Just for a comparison- in northern Italy, the rich industrial heartland, three course lunch for two, cost 23 Euro, which included free carafe of wine and two free espressos. All staff were Italian as was the award winning chef.

Next stop Urbino, were I was on business last year. At the best hotel in town, dinner was 5,5 Euro for appetizer, 8,5 Euro for main course.

One night we went to a restaurant specialising in truffle cuisine (I hate the stuff, but it costs 1200 Euro a kilo). No dish cost more than 25 Euro, after the meal coffee was free.

Urbino is in some ways like pre 1974 Kyrenia. A walled town, dating from the Rennaissance, with a rich past, the birthplace of the painter Raphael and with plenty of treasure for the visitor. Stunning countryside and superb food and wine. It is cheaper to spend two weeks there than a weekend in Nicosia.

Wakey, wakey!
