Hunting season

Postby purdey » Wed Sep 09, 2009 10:23 am

Missed the start this year in Cyprus, how was it ?
Wildfowl season has started in the UK, plenty of birds already arriving from elsewhere.
Anyone seen or heard from Pantheman ?

I,ve no doubt millions of birds got blasted out the skies in both countries, how bloody wonderful    One can only hope that blood sports get banned one day all over the EU thank goodness for the powerful birdlife organisations who do their level best to control it.

As for culling of vermin birds leave that to the expert authorities who know exactly what they are doing and do it for a reason   Its hard to believe that anyone finds pleasure in killing living things for sport.

But its something the silent majorities have to endure for now.

Nothing wrong with it if you eat what you shot.

I don't hunt, but I am quite happy to eat someone else's results.

Well guys it will still continue. It's one of very few industries that has seen growth throughout the worldwide recession.
Sales of firearms and huting clothing are up 65% on last year and for the first time in a decade the British RSPB are finding it difficult to buy land to turn into reserves.
As for anti's I have little or no time for them, they are lacking in knowledge of country ways and offer little in the way of a valid argument for a ban on any field sports.
Role on the elections in the UK and the return of legal fox hunting, we may then see the end of stupid individuals trapping urban foxes and releasing them back into the country.
Straight barrels guys and tally ho !

Have you ever eaten Turtle Dove Milo ? cooked over hot coals they are very tasty. If you use a No 8 shot you will find very few if any pellets in the meat.
Until they are taken off the vermin list (UK and most of the world) the will still be shot in numbers.
A little more understanding of the country might be a way forward for you.

Killing animals for sport is an industry?
I'm an anti who has lived in the country for most of my life and probably know more than you will ever know about our wildlife. If they could speak I'm sure the animals you maim and kill would find a valid argument for a ban on field "sports"
