Have a look how they see and what they know :!:

are u shocked ?

I've been to Cyprus maybe 10 times, you certainly get more variety in skin tones than say mainland Greeks. There are lots of really fair skinned Greek Cypriots but there are also very Arabic looking types as well.
But a nice country and nice people anyhow, I consider them white.

There are both Turkish and Greek Cypriots. Obviously, only the Greek ones are white. Over the centuries, neither group accepted the equality of the other's language, culture, ethnicity, or religion. They tend to live separate lives in separate communities (segregated). There's been fighting between the Greeks and Turks in Cyprus.

Aside from this ethnic division among Cypriots, there's also tension between Cyprus and Greece. In fact, I sort of wonder of the Cypriots are fully Greek. Maybe some are. They're separate countries.

They look very Phonecian to me. But you have to judge them more by their genetic makeup than their skin color since they live in a sunny area, of course their skin is going to be tanned. But they most likely have the genetics of whites despite their appearance if that makes sense.

I know the original Turks didnt have brown skin, in fact they were close to the Ancient greeks
But the people living now in Cyprus are do not come from the original turks, but the turks you see now in Turkey
Cyprus is closer to Turkey, Syria , Lebanon, etc than it is to Greece
It is obvious that a Cypriot who doesnt look white, like the girl you mentioned,
is not greek, she has non-white blood, call it Turk, call it middle-eastern, I dont know
I just know greeks are and look white, and only a minority of Cypriots have remained pure greek .

stop talking ..... follow the links and make your comments about what they are saying ? very interesting topic . get out sometimes from walls of the Nicosia .

I don't believe that Cypriots ever were truly Greek biologically. Cyprus was inhabited by farmers more than 8,000 years ago, who were very likely from the Levant or Anatolia. It is very likely that the Greek Cypriots of today are descendants of both the indigenous people and the later Greek settlers (archaeological finds include bi-lingual inscriptions of Greek and the native tongue Eteocypriot). The occupations of the Arabs and Turks are unlikely to have resulted in much gene flow into the Cypriot population due to the nature of them. There is, however, probably a little bit of admixture from Lebanese migrants, though.

Cyprus main two elements:

#1 Syrid Mesopotamian farmers

#2 Greeks
Seafaring Somalid settlers (Possibly Neolithic)
Hellenic period Greek settlers
DNA of Cyprus:

Arabid 43%
- J2 37%
- J1 6%

Europid 20%
- R1b 9%
- I 8%
- R1a 3%

Somalid 25%
- E1b1b 20%
- T 5%

Y* 12%
