I am an animal lover and have a dog and a cat as pets. I can't see why one shouldn't have a monkey as a pet as well. What makes it any different from the other pets we have. If the monkey is happy and getting well looked after and is legal, then I can't see why not. BTW, where is the threatening email which your thread title says?

I think you should relax and put it into perspective.

Why is it a dreadful ad? The monkey looks fine and at that price it should go to someone who is likely to care for it.

If you disagree to pet-ownership on principle ... then that is a different matter and you should say the same about those cute (over-bred) doggies which are similarly advertised ...
