I caused a misunderstanding I guess... instead of "to ur friends" I should have said "to us."

With the present condition of my brain, it would not make any difference.

Thanks for the gesture Deniz. I was just about to PM you with a question, what's the English word for "kuru bakla"?

Selamlar, yesterday I bought a pack of "lupini beans" by mistake. They looked like bakla but were quite smaller. I did the same thing with bulgur, mistakenly bought couscous instead  .

My wife uses couscous to make 'bulgur pilav'. I dont dare complain, though the difference with good cooking is negligible.

I never had, or do not remember having ever had lupin beans but do they taste like broad beans? Bakla/bagala have a distinctive taste.

Searching for lupin beans, I see the Portugese beer which accompanies it.

Lupin beans are very popular with the Lebanese. They serve them as a small meze with drinks. They are served soaked in water and as you squeeze the yellowish skin the inside white bean pops out.
BTW, I don't think that beer with that name would go well in Turkey. :)
