2- Download a proxy checker to check the http proxies to find out which ones r working and fast.

If the intention is to do something illegal over a proxy ip adress, yes, then it could be considered spoofing.

I suspect the intention is to be able to watch UK TV channels on the internet which do not play unless you have a UK IP. Sort of illegal.

Such sites detect proxies, so he won't be able to do the trick.

You got me guys , MI5 have been watching me for a while now, in fact last week i was sitting there with my old mate ronnie biggs having a cold one and {illegaly} watching a repeat of come dancing when there was a knock at the door, luckily it was only a traveling gypsy trying to sell me some lucky heather...but thats another story.
thanks for the replies, insan, i have been down the root you suggested, but it is not reliable enough its their one day but not the next, i was looking for something more reliable.
any of you guys tried or heard of slingbox and sling catcher?
i am going back to the uk for xmas, i may well treat myself to one.
your thoughts are very much welcome.
