Talat on Limnitis fiasco

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Talat on Limnitis fiasco

Postby Lit » Sat Sep 05, 2009 5:42 pm

NICOSIA - Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat, referring to the failed pilgrimage to Morphou through the Limnitis checkpoint this week, claimed that the occupation regime had received information that extreme elements would try to get through under cover of the pilgrimage.

He also said he was unsure what the results of the present peace talks would be by the end of the year due to the lack of a timetable and the non-involvement of international powers.

He said that the TC was working within the UN parameters and that he would defend his community’s rights to the end.
