The trcn is an illegal state - the Bayrak station is the media mouthpiece of the illegal state so it follows that postings from this station should be considered illegal

EMBARGOED at its worst.

If you do not hear the voice of Turkish Cypriots how the hell do you intend to understand what they think and negotiate any peace talks.

Not embargoed - ILLEGAL

Please see my previous post Deniz

You wish to silence the opinions or news from the north. In my book thats an embargo too.

I dont wish to silence any opinions of anyone as an individual Deniz or refrain their views when posted from a legal source but unfortunately as sotos has recently proved the source in question will not allow an opposing point of view

RichardB, What abt CYBC, the so-called bi-communal broadcasting corporation of Cyprus?

Hi Insan

Last post before bed for me i think

The difference is ( whether you agree or not) this is the LEGAL 'voice' of Cyprus and the majority population

The difference is that Bayrak is the voice of the occupying illegal regime No ifs -No buts but fact

I have contacted Admin already about this and everybody should do the same to put some pressure on him. Bayrak has its own website, TV stations and Radio Stations. What more "free speech" do they want for themselves? Can I use the website, tv and radio stations of Bayrak to promote my views? Apparently not! They don't allow free speech to me from their channels. So why should we allow Bayrak propagandists to turn this forum into another Turkish propaganda medium to promote their illegalities against our country?

What about it? Do you see anybody in here copy-pasting every CyBC article?

Oh dear!

Earlier this evening I came across three posts from Bayrak that H had c&p'd in their entirety. My thoughts were that the Bayrak propaganda machine had gone in to overdrive to get across the Illegal Regime's message that the RoC was to blame for the delays in the talks following the Morphou incident and for the lack of progress in the talks before that. My thoughts were to post that we should label our Halil as a modern day Herr Goebels.

Ok, I found the subject matter offensive, but hey this is CyProb, it comes with the territory, but what I found particularly offensive was that a fellow mwmber could post these tracts of propaganda without adding any further material or words of his own invention.

On this important matter of free expression my view is that it should also be to an extent, Free Self-Expression. So do we express freely when we are expressing not our views but reprinting in full and without further comment the views of others?

We all c&p, some more than others, but my view must be that Halil not only takes it too far by doing so consistently and at practically at every opportunity which I can forgive but I'll say again what I find unforgivable is that there are none of Halil's own views added to these posts.

I think we owe it to one another that when we do c&p we add a few sentences saying in our own words, and I say for instance, why we're posting c&p, whether we agree or disagree with what we've c&pd and why, so that fellow forumers can engage in debate with our own views. (the point of this forum surely?)

Grow up Sotos, you accuse Bayrak and you want to do the same as what you accuse Bayrak of doing. You will never make sense in a hundred years.

He posts articles form many sources including "KIBRIS" and often he just uses a small quote to make a point accompanied by his own views ...

It is not the same  Halil can post his OWN views here. But at Bayrak they don't allow me to promote my own views in their tv,radios and websites! So why should Bayrak post their articles in our forum? They have their own website, radios and tvs so they should post their crap there.
