Two sides should focus on the main game

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I'd say the TCs were one step ahead of you in that game of cat and mouse and you've been caught with your pants down.

They were journalists out to report on what could have been a nice bit of reconciliation until the fascist "police" set out to break agreements and screw things up.

Come on Bill, you should know better then that. Judging by the comments, the visitors were looking for excuses to turn back. It will all come out in the wash in a few days. Be patient.

Gosh and there was silly simple-minded little me thinking they were pilgrims merely wanting to go their old church for a service.

The RoC could've just as easily done the same things to the TC passengers a month earlier, but they just let them through without checking anything for the sake of goodwill… something the Turkish Cypriots clearly did not have and probably never will.

If there are no repercussions for the TCs for this latest incident then there’s no point in any further negotiations. It comes down to what a lot of us have always been saying… that the Cyprus problem can only be solved through war.

just as the turks had the policy of devide and rule and of creating problems to have an excuse to split our island in two they are using today the very same attitude of cause problems so there is NO solution..

dont you just love the turks espesially when they claim to want a solution in cyprus for pretences and so they dont lose eu entry... which btw im wondering why such a large nation of muslims and anti cypriots and anti christian is fighting so hard to join eu where only christian countries are in restoring to threatening when they dont get their way and try intimidate and talk lots of bull crap.

GR above says that a month ago, in the Kokkina celebartions, TCs were let through with no checking of IDs or any such formalities. If this is accurate, then it does cast the events in a different light.

So, were the TCs really let through with no ID card checks etc? Anybody know for fact?

Why are GCs scared of ID checks? 27 people were desginated to check ids on each bus they were at work at 5.30am to ensure a smooth crossing the GCs did not arrive until 7.30 with extra people what did you expect them to do?
