I know its so annoying, but im sure it hasnt crossed your mind to poison it has it?
I would see the owner as many times as i have to and go on and on and on and on and on untill he gets the point.
I had this problem once and went to the butchers paid a couple of euros for a massive bone and fed it to the dog and it lasted him around 10 days!!

Nobody in the right mind approves of animal poisoning but since this thread was obviously done for the sake of (black) humor, I thought I’d indulge CBBB… no offence intended to anyone. :)

My apologies to you GR I went somewhat OTT with you

Its not MY dog that was poisoned I don,t own a dog knowing what I knew before I came to live here about poisonings I would,nt have one, I have two cats both rescued and its ridiculous in this day and age to have to worry about someone deliberately killing them. Cats get killed on the roads anywhere and is to be expected, but poison is,nt.

I witnessed a German Shepherds last minutes after she had been out walking on a lead with her owner and casually picked up baited meat (owner brought the leftovers in for the vet to get analysed it was Lanate) he got her to the vets in record time less than half an hour and had adminstered the anti-dote, but it was to no avail that dogs screams will ring in my ears for a long time. The vet was fantastic and did all he could for some though the dose of poison is too much.

The police could do nothing, and the owners left the island all because of one evil person.

Thanks baby for your comments even though it was,nt my dog sorry if my anger meant that everyone thought it was  Nieghbours lost their rescue dog this week to poisoning its a bit raw still, then to hear of two more, all of these dogs were out with their owners, on a lead.

Emma, well I must remember if I ever needed a good sensible shoulder to cry on that you most certainly would not be it. If you think its advisable to NOT get sad when people get killed never mind dogs! I think honey that I who have been in the real world for some time think that you have,nt lived much at all, well what bit you have is,nt very wise is it.

You tell ME not to judge and you say womens pictures suck on CL, god you are annoying :x One day you will grow up but not sometime soon.

Denz who,s Boris and should I worry?

My cats roam a little each day, I don,t expect them to live long in Cyprus (my last cat lived for 19 years in the UK) but for now they enjoy life :)

Dream life a little fuzzy today sorry for my complaining it will go away.

Sorry about the dog; pity it wasn't the owner.

We gave our neighbours annoying barking dog laxative tablets, after about two weeks the dog dissapeared followed by new carpets arriving next door.

Here's another spate of cat poisonings in the UK from a few days ago ...

It's unfair to animals worldwide to pretend it only happens in Cyprus!

Yep the person/s who did this are pigs, however its something of which doesnt happen very often, when it does and the culprits are caught they are prosecuted through the RSPCA.
It goes to show that the spineless pigs who do this in cyprus on a regular basis are phycopaths too. Pity there isnt a law in cy too...

Some facts hard to take, but facts they are, as I was,nt saying the UK does,nt have its share of animal killing psychos it so does, difference is whenever possible they are brought to justice and most of the UK would kill the perps given half and chance

There are tough laws in the UK and very well funded animal shelters both charity and municipal and laws on cruelty and wilful neglect very much in place. Psycho,s and sickos will always be there sadly, but poisoning on a daily basis very rare, if 10,000 animals a year were being poisoned so horribly in the UK it would be splashed all over the news until the govt/police sorted it out. Here its not in the news and only being brought up on a regular basis by the few that do care, expats on a protest to Nicosia, Swedish xpats setting up a recue of hundreds of neglected dogs to Sweden the same for a German charity, they are being sent out of the country in order to live for crissakes.

My cats longevity is dependant on a few things here, natural things like snake bites etc, the road which we are far enough from and being sensible I have all my animals spayed, stops them wandering and more importantly producing another huge problem in Cyprus, secondly living where I do we are as of last week surrounded on a daily basis by hunters who last year in this area shot cats, then we have poison so there chances of a long life diminshed.

The UK has animal cruelty which it deals with very well, and Cyprus will always have its cruel people as well, but IF you never deal with it here and in fact ignore peoples pleas to help the neglect and cruelty then you will get antagonists. Its a simple and easy solution to get tough with the actions of many here, poison is deliberate and final.

Don,t make this yet another them and us thread as they are just tiresome boring and predictable.
