Hi All,

I have a 1 metre sat dish that gets virtually no English speaking channels, can anyone suggest a satelite instalation service that would be able to get me a decent range of Sky channels for no too much cash etc.

Your dish isn't big enough, for sky you need at least a 2.7m dish, with a 1m dish try Nilesat, they have several english speaking channels.

Nilesat has 4 channels which show good movies all day,another 3 which show drama ,action,comedies ,chat etc,all in English,a cartoon channels,cookery, channel 5 news channels in English.some sports.
And you can also subscribe to the Showtime package which includes bbc prime and itv soaps,drama ,premiership football etc

And best of all on Nilesat, if you subscribe to Showtime, you get every Premier League match live

Otherwise, on free to air on Nilesat, you get (all English language)

1.8m dish can get you a decent range of SKY channels.

1.8m dish can get you a decent range of SKY channels.

Think you need a slightly bigger one for Larnaca. Was told a 2.2m dish for a good range of sky channels with a 4.2m dish for the UK terrestrial channels.

nahhh....a good quality 1.8m does give you a decent range of SKY channels (even in Larnaca)
a 2.2m will give you few more channels than 1.8m but is it worth the price difference? i don't think so.
You can pick up all of SKY Entertainment MIX as well as SKY Sports 1/2/3, also 3-4 SKY Movie channels,FIVE,Channel4 AND ALSO ITV1 and More4/E4/Channel4+1/E4+1 and plenty i cant remember now....not to mention 12 SKY HD channels for the time being..
