You'll find quite a few people on this forum wish that, but I think you will find that they will resume shortly.

Is it worth continuing to talk if both sides are not prepared to budge ?

You'll find both sides will budge. Because there is no other choice.

How will Turkey budge, exactly?

The two main stumbling blocks are property and guaranty. Both are possible. If it wasn't they wouldn't waste their time and effort trying to get there only to find out that there is no agreement.

In the give and take stage, the percentage of land will be agreed near 27/73% and guaranty for the TCs can be diluted so that it will be acceptable to GCs.
Have faith in the human nature of these two leaders who genuinely wish to solve the Cyprus problem despite the opposite wishes of the hard liners of both sides.

Let's hope the budging starts soon as we are all getting a bit fed up !

BTW are you advocating for partition ?

No. Two zones, two communities, two federal states. One country.

It depends what you mean by respected. What you are suggesting is everyone’s right to return to their homes. That is an impossibility in this climate and has never even been considered in any of the negotiation thus far. The settlement will have to include some restoration and some compensation. Not everybody will get what they want right now, but in time there will be complete freedom of movement, just not now.
BTW just in case, I have begun my first course of antibiotics. You never know, the old kodger may be a witch in desguise.

You better let Turkey know then prick features because force seems to be the only language they'll ever understand. Just remind me what Turkey was doing in 1974? What Turkey is doing today?

It always makes me laugh when Turkish arseholes like yourself come onto a forum and behave like Mother Theresa, trying to pretend that you advocate peace and spouting cheap words against war, especially when Turkey militarily occupies 37% of Cyprus. In the same breath it is the same pieces of shit that get erections from the "indestructable" Turkish military, that butchered thousands of GCs, dropping napalm bombs and ethnically cleansing a whole area of its inhabitants, they are the same people who support the fact that there are 40,000 illegal Turkish troops occupying Cyprus today, the same people that want to deny GCs their human rights, the same people that want a Turkish guarantee in any future solution allowing another military invasion in Cyprus, the same people that even try to deny the Armenian genocide, the same people that defend the killing of Isaac and Solomou etc etc.

You want peace peace peace now that you have 37% of Cyprus as hostage during these ridiculous attempts at negotiations, but knowing fascist Turkish arseholes like you, if the boot was on the other foot, you would be screaming for F-16s to reign down on Cyprus killing anyone who stood in your evil path. I know all about the hypocritical two-faced bullshit Turks, and I'm not accepting any of it.

P.S. Cymart, of course wars themselves never bring happiness, it is ridiculous to even suggest otherwise, but the result of war can lead to a kind of justice that negotiations may not be able to.

So it was arsholes like you, who surrounded Lurucina in 74 with tanks while it was defended with rifles about to be flattened with 4000 people in it.
All I can say is thank god for the Turkish Air Force for saving them.
And next time you attack, you will get more of the same you little ignorant fatherless clueless shitty vagina.

You stupid ignorant little twat, you're referring to 1964. You're even too thick to get your own dates right. You started the inter-communal violence by bombing the Turkish embassy in Nicosia. Like retarded little pricks you all went on the rampage assuming it was GCs like the thick shits you are. If you want to talk about '74, any attacks by GCs only started after Turkey began its campaign of murder and ethnic cleansing you idiot, and one day you will be attempting the swim back to Turkey unless you drop your ridiculous demands. Just a matter of time.

Calm down, Freddie. As has already been established, his beatitude will be battling Turkey in the ECHR in an all holy legal (plus associated PR) war. The only casualty will be Turkey's bank balance. And for once the archbishop will be doing a service for all Cypriots.
