Greek Cypriots cancel start of new talks

(Excerpt)...

There were conflicting accounts on what caused the cancellation of the pilgrimage. Witnesses said pilgrims were being checked off a list one-by-one by Turkish Cypriot authorities, contrary, Greek Cypriots said, to an understanding it was to be a cursory check. Turkish Cypriots said that Greek Cypriots violated the accepted process by refusing to show identity cards at the checkpoint.

Well,
as usual there has to be some sort of plot!!!!
wouldn't it have been nice just for once to have played along with the game if that's what they thought.
Today's news would have been saying, Look how much we want a solution! we allowed these people through to THEIR side of the Island without any obstacles....
It wouldn't have been a big problem to have let them through... I think it was very petty

Yeah... Turkey, together with TCs do everything in their power to ensure TCs won't become a minority in Cyprus; because being a minority is not a solution for us. Got it re Balio?

TCs are a minority, even at Lego-land ... they need to go back to Turkey if they think they deserve a separate "state" just to maintain their "minority status" ... what a bunch of losers!!

As I suspected, His Beatitude's expert legal representatives would have tried to smuggle themselves over to the north on the bus – the pilgrimage providing a clever subterfuge. They would have been on an above-top-secret mission to gather incriminating evidence on the appalling condition of the Church's northern properties, in preparation for the legal battle of the century against Turkey in the European Courts.

The TC authorities would have smelt a rat and demanded to check each pilgrim off against the previously supplied list to weed out any international human rights lawyers.

wouldn't it have been a nice gesture on TC's part for GC's to have passed through the crossing without being stopped.

after all aren't they the ones that are calling for all sorts of nice gestures to be shown from GC's.

thats the whole point eleni.. the turks demand everything from the cypriots then when it comes time for them to show some good will or a gesture they say F U why should we give anything...

then they cry and complain they arent being given enough.. papadopoulos understood the turks game of take all and spit in their face the turks are playing and he did NOT budge just like the turks are doing now.. only they expect something..

typical turks

Did we fingerprint the smelly TCs who crossed over?

... and they have more reason to slip through to the RoC then any GC would want to spend even a night with those disgusting bloodthirsty Turks in the occupied north ...
