Just a reminder that your idol considered himself part of the Cypriot Hellenism
Alexis, my position is a little different. I consider Hellenism of Cyprus as separate and different from what Greek state is representing today.
I consider that G/cs must fight for their own identity as Greeks of Cyprus ,promoting their own Hellenic World ,separatetly of Greece-in coperation, but separatetly.
They must clarify to international community that they are the legal citizens of the Island which is under occupation by a foreign army with co-operation of T/cs and to declare that they do not negotiate anything else than their idepedence and freedom for their Island from foreigners and T/cs cooperators.,
They must stop to fight their own identity of Hellenic culture and promote this as a defence tool for their freedom.
A Hellenic state in Cyprus , member of EU , can make the life of various clever employees of Turkey in UN/NATO and particularly UK, very difficult. Times of wars ended- Great policies are required .For all these we just need a great Politician in Cyprus. We have many many years to see something like that in the Island.
I think Cyprus need what Greece need - Just brave leaders who are not following the rules of the invator and the rules of threats.
Lets hope that, after the forhcoming colapse of the new negotiations (which will help Turkey in many ways in the meantime)someone like this will appear.
Let uneducated people to consider anything Hellenic as facist and junta made. Let these "gentitsarous" to be burn in their ideas.
There can never be a class A and B Hellenism : all Greeks are Hellenes wherever they were born and live !
