GR will fill you in with the details. Suffice it is to say that they are one of the earliest civilisations that existed in Cyprus. The original Cypriots. :lol:

I mean how can anyone be ignorant of one of the World's most advanced early (hippo eating, souvla making, mercedes owning) civiliations?

are you for real! i never heard of them man lol! well, i have no clue about greek or cypriot history!! and its not ignorance mate.. i simply didnt study anything about thim, away from the time the greek invaded egypt or sumin like that.. isnt it enough to know my own ppl history!!

c10,000 BC. Early CYs settle in Chirokitia inventing the souvla and double cabin car.

1974 AD. Jurkey with the help of the Atheneucians and the Anglo-Saxons invade and occupy the northern part of Chirokitia.

The Neolithic settlement of Choirokoitia, occupied from the 7th to the 4th millennium B.C., is one of the most important prehistoric sites in the eastern Mediterranean. Its remains and the finds from the excavations there have thrown much light on the evolution of human society in this key region. Since only part of the site has been excavated, it forms an exceptional archaeological reserve for future study.
