Problems with Cytanet Internet

Postby ericroskamp » Fri Aug 28, 2009 3:47 pm

For more than 1 week my internet connection with Cytanet is very bad. A few times a day my wireless connection is interrupted and my laptop can't find any wireless signal. After 5 minites it's ok again, but still very irritating.

For the rest it's very slow and is going on and off many times. I phoned 3 times to Cyta and 2 times they promised a technician would pass by but nobody came. Phoned yesterday and they said that they are monitoring my connection????

I live in Xylotympou (Larnaca area). Anybody else experience problems or have tips for me?

Apart from a supposed 1mg connection that is always at or around 512k and keeps dropping out, I'm afraid I can't help you.

I think it's a con. They take your money but don't deliver what you pay for.

lots of people have been having problems in the eastern part for the past couple of weeks. Telephone calls to Cyta produced the info that they were aware of the problem and were "looking into it"
cannot say i have notced any improvement

I'll drink to that (but if there is any chance of some red wine I'll drink to anything)

It has got to be worth trying a different browser. I have problems sometimes with Internet Explorer but never have problems with Mozilla Firefox. Very simple download procedure and highly recommended by me and others. Google it if you're not sure. Please let me know if it fixes your problem.
