Oddly enough... when a Greek or GC writes anythin in Greek in this forum, u never show a similar reaction as u do to my postings in Turkish.

That's 'cos I can speak Cypriot and my Greek isn't all that bad either. But when it comes to Gibrizlija I'm a novice - and I care not for Turkish.

GR, the word 'anlamak' is the root word. What we use to , in my days at school, call a 'mastar'. As wiki says it means 'to understand, and not 'do you undestand?' or 'did you understand?'. It is not a question either. Half a mark for trying. You lost a few marks for using Wiki as 'a credible source'. We cant accuse you of ignoring the other language though. Many teachers here will help you to learn either Turkish or Gibrizlija who are better versed than me.

In the past few days I said in Turkish, 'dilinize eşek arısı soksun'. This was after two pages of 'greek written correspondence between forumers on a thread that TCs had been posting. You should have asked GR or DT for a translation (or better still, Kafenes) then you would have got the message.
