Azerbaijan will start accepting TRNC passports

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The OIC is recognising TRNC?

Not much of a recognition. It was just upgraded to 'Turkish Cypriot State ' as in the A-Plan.

I read that when Denktash was was coming out of one session he saw the Cyprus Embassador of Iran and exchanged this dialog with him:
"So why you are not saying even a hi to a fellow Cypriot? We are here as a TC State what are you doing here?I heard that you came here to overturn the council decisions but you where not successfull.Well i hope u get over it, and send my greetings to Mr. Papadopoulos".

Well Yiannis however you see it, for me it is an improvement! I am sorry but even if you don't want to hear it is a step towards the recognition of Northern Cyprus, by the way have you checked the links I gave you, from what I have read and understood, they do RECOGNISE Northern Cyprus!

Yes it is backwards as a whole Cyprus, but forward for the TCs. But the question is WHY did this happen??

Answer --> The solution is too late, politicians don't try hard enough, lost trust between the two communities...

Result --> If this solution comes more late than this point, we could have a much bigger problem, or even it would be too late to save the two communities and make reunification!

Well i dont think that trust is less than before.I might be wrong but i think now GC and TC are more open to eachother than 10 years ago.It might be less than before the referendum but i think the majority has trust. But still i might be wrong. As for the politicians i definitely agree that both sides politicians have the wrong plans.

About the thing that the recent upgrade is a step forward for the TCs, well my opinion is that its just a step forward psychologically.I think its smthing used by Turkey to give the TCs to leak on (if u know what i mean) and i dont think that it will cause that great of an advancement in terms of wealth in the north. I know its a step forward to a complete recognition but dont forget that this came after 30 years and i think it will take more years for a complete recognition. Its just a way of IOC to show some trust to the TC but i dont think they will go forward to a complete recognition soon. Dont forget the good ties RoC has with the islamic countries too.

Oh and one last think i wanted to ask.If im not mistaken with the entry of Cyprus to the EU it was said that the whole island was entered to the EU with the difference that the legitimate gvrmnt has only access to the south untill a solution is found. Now given that as a base can it be possible for TRNC to seek recognition by the EU countries without the approval of RoC?

i'm slowly begining to think we wont see a resolution in any of our lifetimes.

its gonna take a lot of foreign pressure for either side to budge, and the world really doesn't care that much.

Yes, but there was someone who said marches are for nothing in the our threads. Well, marching is one thing you could do, especially if there is march where TCs and GCs are together, it will make a very good story for the newspapers! Then EU and the politicians could start to do something about it.

All this time i thought you we talking about the olympic committee!!!!

Then i went to the links, i get it now! D'oh!

EVen if the IOC see 'TRNC' as a state it is only as part of the organisation, like a 'part' of the whole of cyprus...isnt it ..??... not like a new country or anything?

But even so, this is a mainly religious organisation isnt it? Is it just a collection of islamic states? not like the EU or anything is it?
