Azerbaijan will start accepting TRNC passports

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

if a country has oil and it delays drilling they will be very financially secure. oil hit $60 a barrel. this price will only go up with demand, simple economics

Look as long as the country is rich, it will have respect and a say in politics. It doesn't matter if the public has got the money or the government!

look at what having oil did for the saudis. america would do anything for them. without oil the world would simply stop. its not called black-gold for nothing

boulio, perhaps initially azerbaijan will not pump so much oil through the baku-ceyhan pipeline however, it is the ONLY pipeline in the region which is not controlled by russia, and that makes it very important to the west. ALso you are only counting the petrol that will be pumped out from the pipeline but not the petrol being shipped from azerbaijan via georgia.WIth all that you expect the EU, which invested heavily through BP to built those oil pipelines to refuse aid to azer? ANd lastly, each time a country declares that it will give some form of recognition you all start with your predictable 'oh but look at its gdp'. None of us here are expecting to be recognised by america or the west overnight, we start with the small countries and you slowly work yourself up.
