22ND BOOK FAIR OPENED LAST NIGHT AT NICOSIA YOUTH CENTRE.

The 22nd book fair organized by the Isik Bookstore kicked off last night.
The fair opens with the slogan ‘we born of ashes’ and this year’s main theme is ‘confrontation’.

Isik Bookstore was gutted by an arson fire a short time ago and it has been serving at the Lefkosa(Lefkosa) Youth Centre in Kizilbas area of capital Nicosia since then.

TRNC President Mehmet Ali Talat opened the fair at 8.30 last night.
The opening marked with a photograph exhibition displaying pictures of the sabotaged Işık bookstore.

In addition to book sale, visitors will enjoy live music performances.
Concerts will be staged by Rublag, Latino Turko, Yiltan Tasci and Ersen Sururi-Zelis duo.

Panels and conferences will also be organized within the framework of the book fair.

The Fair will be open for visits as from 8.30 every evening, until the 4th of September.
