I voted for the best choice as I didn't want to become a Turk. If Paphitis was replaced by say The Cypriot, I would have abstained as all three candidates would have been idiots.

Traitor.

Would be if I ever voted for you.

Don't try and wriggle out of it. Wait till I tell the archbishop. He'll probably sue.

Does not your archbishop turn the other cheek? No forgiveness?

Actually miltiades, you are no spokesperson for either the Cypriots OR the English (IMHO) and I will explain why.

Firstly, your connections with Cyprus were irreparably severed when you decamped and sought sustenance in the bosom of the country which plotted, schemed and finally brought about what they may have considered to be the 'Nemesis' of our homeland. (perhaps you shared their view at that time)

Over the period of the next half century, you became so well Anglicised that you probably now regard yourself as 'One of Them' (certainly your mindset would suggest the probability) since you endorse every atrocity they commit, regardless of the injustice of such actions.

England has long been recognised as a nation which thrives by operating 'The Class System' and to their credit, gentlemanly conduct has always been ascribed to 'The Upper Class' mainly due to their ability to 'Keep a Stiff Upper Lip' which, if practised, produces the manner of speech so admired throughout the world (or in some cases ridiculed precisely because of it's effectiveness).

There are 'Classes' below 'Upper', next in line is 'Middle'' where those who occupy such social level, invariably aspire to become 'Upper' but in reality lack the breeding to so do.

Next we have 'The Working Class', these unfortunates are the 'Cannon Fodder' and 'Whipping Boys' of the 'Upper Class' yet in reality are the most productive yet least appreciated, they have their very own codes of ethics and should be respected for that (albeit that they may be frowned upon by those who consider themselves superior) they are easily manipulated, have a certain loyalty and treat their own with some respect unless provoked (which is fair).

Finally, we have 'The Scum', dredges of humanity with nothing to recommend them save the fact that they are indeed 'Scum', they delight in bastardising their own language, they have no respect for either themselves or those around them, foul language and insults roll off their tongues as readily as they mumble their incoherent opinions, particularly when they discuss the culture and integrity of other nations (which their addled minds have been tutored to condemn) unfortunately, HERE is where we are most likely to encounter the likes of 'miltiades'.

You do not believe me ?, have a look back over the years you have wasted hurling abuse, insulting, condemning and uttering filth to all and sundry, it is all written and you cannot escape the portrait you have painted of yourself.

How then, with such a history, can you have the audacity to even suggest that you should be considered a spokesperson for either nation ?, your die is cast miltiades, you are a wonderful spokesperson for 'The Scum' and THAT is the TRUTH of the matter.

If Greek Cypriots cant find peace among themselves, how on earth can we get peace between GC's and TC's.

I know its ACTION AND REACTION. Pack it in both of you.
