I'm sorry but I would have to commit ape suicide if the only ape I had to communicate with back then was whoop whoop ape.

I'd rather forage on my own thanks.

smowjoe wrote:Hmmm... I think your anthropological argument is unsound! At the base, human-kind is a communal animal... before intellect or cognitive processes are even considered. All interaction is based in "need"... if you didn't "need" to interact, you wouldn't, therefore such portals as this one would be superfluous... so, Oracle, that makes you as needy as anyone, doesn't it?

As for stimulus, if you are content with stimulating yourself, enjoy! I prefer mutual stimulation however and am very capable of giving as well as taking... you are stimulating that need, so, thank you!

I think you have missed out all the modality in my argument. At no point did I suggest man was a solitary creature. However, given free will, even that can be tempered, being less subject to instinctive control than in lower animals. So, even the most solitary higher animals "need" to socialise if they are to procreate.

Personally, I prefer a man of mystery, hidden depths forged from solitary reflection; one who has to be enticed from his cave ....

I also did not say that "smowjoe" and since I now suspect you are misquoting me for the sake of your self-stimulation, I shall cease, and return to (pseudo) solitude ...
