Planning permission for a move able hot tub

Postby chandresh » Sat Aug 22, 2009 7:14 am

We recently taken over our new built Villa and furnished it with a hot tub.
we are now told we need planning for this and it will cost us 300 + euros.
we have nothing in our contract with the developer regarding this restriction.
Can anyone advise regarding this matter or direct me to where i can get good advice . thanks chandresh

No Cyprusgeoff, I think you are wrong. A hot tub is a large attractive man, that's why it's not in the contract, I wouldn't have thought you would need planning permission for one of them.

Sorry Chandresh :D

Who is aksing for €300+? Planning Permissions require only a small fee; we need to understand who you are being asked to py the money to.

Something is not right, here.

As it is moveable, just move it into the garage when someone comes to inspect your premises. Lana is right that planning permission is cheap, but if it needs that, someone will have to make architectural drawings and other stuff, which will cost money.

As most hot tubs (or Spas) do not have a roof or walls, I cannot imagine the need for planning permission....

I think "hot tubs" should be banned, along with swimming pools ...

Nasty germ-filled soaking stews which waste water and electricity!

Thank you fraggle ... I much prefer your version of the only acceptable type of "hot tub" I would have in my house :D
