What do Forum members think: If you lost someone close to you, their memory would be with you for ever; would you choose to keep some tangible keepsake or is it better to have no physical thing to remind you of them?

Lana

I have been in this situation recently lana, its a tough one to say the least.
what was left to me, i gave to someone else and do not regret it all.
I lost a family member who was my dearest soul mate who I loved more than words could ever say.
I was lost and miserable, but as time is going by, my memory of that person is getting stronger and clearer, and its making me smile more and more the more i think about them.
happy memories xxx

It's really very simple. The biological design of our body was to survive to the age of 40 to 50. We were part of the food chain in the cycle of life. Our problems started when we managed to exclude ourselves from the food chain and are able to live up to hundred or more. The more successful we are as the human race the more illnesses we will encounter.
JoJo try tossing a coin and guessing the outcome. See if you can control it. If you can go straight to one of the casinos.

You are talking absolute bollocks as normal...

When the results of all these studies are analysed there is absolutely no evidence that stress does cause cancer.

I wouldn't worry about such a thing  ... the biggest effect is from genetics. So, either you will succumb, given the environmental factors; or your never will ....

Some stress has quite a lot of benefits actually ....

There are no benefits at all to stress and anyone who thinks so is either a fool or an idiot.

I retired here many years ago after working in a very stressful job for many years.

After a few months here I got into the relaxed lifestyle and feel twenty years younger.

I don't live up in the ex pat community and I never will. I live among Cypriot people and enjoy their company and their ways.

Good food, good wine, a good Wife so what more could I ask for.

Keep your stress, it's a killer.

I agree with you. I lived in Cyprus for a year and I felt 20 years younger but since coming back to England and returning to the ratrace I feel 20 years older with twice as much stress than before

I must say 'cyprusgeoff' that I consider YOU to be far far far luckier than I.
