My friend , i stated this many times-the problem of "Turkish Democracy" is not its third World status and policies but is the fact that its citizens do not realize that their country do not have Democracy.
My friend the idea that democracy being alive and well in any nation is imho a myth.............In any election there are two main parties. The parties will both have been funded by the same families and corporations who control the finance of that country. The voter gets a choice of heads or tails but it is always the same coin and both sides are owned by the same people....Get it?
There is no such thing as true democracy anymore anywhere in the world. It is a myth, it has been abused.
I just came back from Italy.........My friend told me their last Communist leader also owned a sixty million dollar yatch?.........................now have i missed something here?.................democratically elected communist priminister owns 60mil yatch................................DEMOCRACY??????????
Now that sound more like third world status, wouldn’t you say?
Everyone’s democracy is their own affair but everyone’s government is controlled by those who fund them. By those who entrust their own affairs to that government and will fund accordingly to ensure they are looked after.
There is no democracy anymore (except a few places with exceptional circumstances).
I would say democracy as you think and understand it to be, died about 50 years go. About the time of The Kennedy assassination and I think that sad sorry affair and the assassination of Luther King put paid to the idea of any decent democracy existing again.
I don’t know why you are talking about democracy anyway. I simply stated that Turkey is far from a third world country. And that this myth is just another example of some idiot giving false information for other idiots to believe. Sure Turkey got its poorer regions evry nation has them e.g. Hillbillies in The States………………I even met a Greek Cypriot fresh out of Cyprus who must have lived in a cave most of his life too, such was his manner……….Evry nation has its corners.
