Cyprus - Getting it Wrong, Martin Packard MBE

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Glad that BigDutch has revived discussion on this thread about Martin Packard's Book. There is a page on Facebook (but visible also to people who do not have a FB account) with links to yet more material involving Martin Packard. Interested people may wish to take a look at:

'Get Real' please will post links to the UN documents that you say you have used as i can only find '94 onwards.

Also no comment on the change of operations success noted in Packard's book ?

What exactly do you want in more detail?

Thanks, and i don't mean to be difficult at all, but i already stated i have downloaded the UNFICYP reports from '94 onwards, the links you gave don't give anything new, unless i have missed the search term/area ?

Relating to the threads topic of 'Cyprus - Getting it Wrong' which is written about events during 1964, all i want (on your recommendation) is to 'read the official UN reports of that period than an ex-serviceman’s personal accounts' but they appear to be harder than i expected to come by.

If what you’re looking for is…

“All the documents ever written by UNFICYP between the years 1964 and 1994”

...then you are stark raving mad!

Because, that is NOT how a sensible person goes about researching any part of the Cyprus problem.

:?:

You discredited Packards accounts saying go for the official sources but are now telling me it is not sensible looking for the official docs ? Confused

If you read my much earlier post on this thread you will see others discredit some of Packard's accounts too. He was writing a book to make money.

GR - can't you just post a link to the RELEVANT UN docs you are hoping BigDutch will read?

You place heavy reliance on the UN and their resolutions. Can't think why. Most people seem to think they are useless.
