Isik Kitabevi suffers arson attack

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Isik Kitabevi suffers arson attack

Postby Tim Drayton » Tue Aug 11, 2009 7:11 pm

The book shop Işık Kitabevi, which was not afraid to sell left-wing books and criticical literature about Cyprus history and politics, has suffered a damaging arson attack.

Please do not tell me that the Turkish Cypriots are about to come under a new reign of terror.

What has the Yeni Volkan to say about this, Halil?

It looks like New TMT has just started. Lets see how much support they have in the establishment.

The knives are out for the T/Cs , it seems Turkey is determined far more vigorously than anyone imagined to eradicate T/Cs from the face of Cyprus.
Soon it will be a crime to openly call your self a Turkish Cypriot .
As far as Turkey is concerned there only Turks not Cypriot Turks .

They have an evening arranged, and the readers are suggesting buying the burnt books to help the shop get back on its feet again.
The question is how much support do the attackers have from Turkey? It will be obvious quite soon.

The Turkish Cypriots must resist the efforts to exterminate them .
It is a well known fact the the mainland Turks do not like T/Cs and visa verse..
The T/Cs are an integral part of this island where the mainland Turks are not.

The TRNC police has been continuing to investigate the issue by taking into consideration 3 different probabilities behind this incident.... Let me add one more...

Miltiadis and his team did it to create chaos and hate between TCs and Turkey...

Where was Kikapoo at the time? I hear there was a sailor revolt with chief whipping boy GR leading with his 15 decrepit reprobates. Inform ToCMIT immediately.

FFS, Halil, my reference to Yeni Volkan was in sarcasm. This bookshop is right next door to the General Directorate of Police, isn't it? How can anybody suggest that the tentacles of the Turkish deep state do not stretch to this attack? God forbid that they do not start murdering people again.
