They want to bring back hanging and some sensible judges instead of all these do gooders.

As it is at the moment in the UK you can get more time in jail for a traffic offence than for taking someones life.

I am so glad I don't live in the bloody place any more.

The newspapers are now saying that there is a £10,000 on each of their heads for the first person inside who maims one of them. So hopefully even though they are segregated the prison wardens will turn a blind eye and get their just desserts very slowly like poor Peter did. I would chip in to that fund most definately.

But let's face it......

Postby cymart » Thu Aug 13, 2009 11:12 pm

Killing anybody is wrong, whatever the circumstances and nobody and no government has the right to do that! Two wrongs don't make a right...
Perhaps it would be far more useful to ask why these people killed this poor child? What do we know about them or their circumstances and what led them to it?That way we might be able to help prevent it from happening again....
A few centuries ago they hung innocent women who were rumoured to be witches and if you were starving and stole a loaf of bread, ditto!
In answering these questions we- or someone else- may have to face some uncomfortable truths about what led to the death of baby Peter...
May his soul rest in peace. We cannot bring him back to this life.

They will be well looked after. They are rich research fodder for psychiatrists.

Spiritual karmic law my friend...

Postby cymart » Fri Aug 14, 2009 4:29 pm

The dividing line between what makes us human and savagery is a very fine one.....NOBODY has the right to kill another person and certainly not any morally bankrupt governments or politicians!!
We are not disputing that what these people was horrible, wrong and a terrible tragedy but it cannot be put right by more killing!

Would you think the same if it was someone you knew or family who had been tortured that way

Since you asked such a question...

Postby cymart » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:53 pm

I have a close friend in Germany who was tortured, both physically and mentally by the notorious Stasi or secret police in the past when the East German regime was in existence and they ruined his life and that of his family, but he has never asked for the culprits to be tortured or executed etc in revenge!
If you knew Baby Peter personally or have a direct connection with this awful case then I fully appreciate that you would have very strong feelings about it,otherwise I would must ask you to consider that negative emotions have caused some terrible deeds to be done in so many instances..
The law of the jungle is no way to run a civilised society..

I admire your friend and his family for feeling that way and perhaps you are right more people should be like that. But I feel that the baby Peter case is different to your friends, it wasn't political this was just pure and utter evil. At least your friend and his family had the decision not to want revenge that poor child and his other family members did not. I still say bring back hanging for these kind of people.

Two wrongs never made a right...don't tell me you would be willing to open the trap door and be the executioner too, would you????
No exceptions-killing people is wrong and NOBODY has the right to do it and take away life from someone else!
